Browser Intelligence
See 1v14 signals while browsing YouTube instead of switching research tabs.
What the early version does
- Shows a watch-page breakout scorecard against the channel’s recent baseline.
- Adds views-per-hour intelligence to browse and search results.
- Reports engagement, median-view multiple, velocity multiple, upload cadence and views-to-subscriber reach.
- Handles YouTube’s single-page navigation so signals stay in sync as you move around.
- Has a simple enable and disable switch.
How it stays cheap to run
Routine browser analysis is deterministic. It does not call a language model and does not consume paid AI credits, but account analysis quotas and server rate limits still apply.
Where the data comes from
The YouTube API key stays server-side. The extension talks to 1v14, not directly to YouTube’s data API, so the key is never shipped in the browser.
Install on desktop Chrome or Edge
Download 1v14 extension 0.5.1 (ZIP)
This is an unpacked prototype, not a Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons release. Installation and updates are manual. Mobile browsers and YouTube Studio editing are not supported.
- Download and extract the ZIP into a folder you will keep on your computer.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome oredge://extensionsin Edge. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder containingmanifest.json. - Sign in to your 1v14 dashboard, open Extension and create a personal key. Paste it into the extension popup. Keep the API address as
https://dashboard.1v14.com, then choose Save & test. - Choose a saved project for opportunities, save again, and open a YouTube watch or browse page. Create a project in the dashboard first if you have none.
Update, permissions and key safety
To update, extract the new ZIP over the same extension folder, choose Reload on the browser's Extensions page, then refresh YouTube. Check version 0.5.1 and test the connection again. There are no automatic store updates.
The production package requests local extension storage and access to YouTube, dashboard.1v14.com and api.1v14.com. It includes no account key or server credentials. Your personal key is kept in this browser's extension storage; the server stores only its hash. Keep it private and revoke it from your dashboard if a device or key is lost.
Watch-page and channel analyses use your plan's analysis quota; browse badges use server rate limits. Routine analysis uses no AI credits. Workspace saves require an account and applicable project/competitor limits. Missing data or an unavailable API can prevent analysis; a connected popup alone does not verify YouTube results.
Browser support
The early version targets Chrome and Edge as a Manifest V3 extension. Connect using your own revocable dashboard key. Plan and rate limits are enforced on the server; no shared development secret is required.
Research in the tab you were already in
The extension is the first place 1v14 intelligence shows up. The rest of the workflow continues in the dashboard.
